November 2009 – AddOn Interface in ATDI RF Tools
ATDI releases new white paper presenting an innovative "AddOn" interface that allows the integration of ATDI RF tools with other software applications.
ICS Telecom and its government extension HTZ warfare exchange information back and forth with other software applications.
The oldest mechanism implemented was the addition of external propagation models.
Presently, more than 20 external propagation models have been developed and used with the platform, some of them are part of the default installation package.
Other developments for specific requirements of the interfaces which include file exchange, database sharing, network (IP) interactions, interface with other
modules like DLLs or standalone applications.
Today, ATDI opened its interface further to allow users and third party developers to create their own ‘Apps’, called AddOns, and leverage the power of
the RF Platforms to meet their own specific requirements

July 2009 – Potential Effects of Wind Turbine Generators on Pre-Existing RF Communication Networks
ATDI releases a new white paper describing how ATDI’s RF planning software tool ICS telecom can model potential interference issues related to Wind Turbine systems
on pre-existing RF communications networks.
In an effort to help preserve the ozone and the availability of diminishing natural fuel sources, alternative energy sources
are being investigated. The implementation of Wind turbine farms have become a dramatically growing business all over the world. Wind turbines convert the kinetic
energy from wind into mechanical energy which is used to generate electricity

March 2009 – Human Exposure And FCC-OET-B65 MPE compliance calculations
ATDI releases a new white paper that follows the article originally written by ATDI – Sami Nedhif in May 2008 introducing ICS Telecom’s capabilities for calculating Health safety
and Field Strength Exposure. This paper is in response to the high volume of enquiries that the original article generated requesting clarification on the compliance calculations
referenced by the FCC Guidelines described in the OET Bulletin 65. This article describes the methodology used in ATDI software tools to quickly prepare a rooftop CAD project, and
an MPE analysis.
A proper MPE analysis requires all the standard components of a fully featured RF Planning tool like ICS Telecom plus dedicated functionalities and user customizing capabilities.
The ATDI suite of tools streamlines the process and imports the information provided from a CAD drawing in a user-friendly manner easy to replicate repeatedly. No training is required.

By now, many established telecom operators around the world are investigating or have already decided on adopting LTE as their 3.5G-4G transition technology of choice.
The relative ease in which LTE can be adopted into existing 3GPP based infrastructure has been a major factor in turning the attention of many operators to LTE. LTE is a true mobile technology –
with options to offer FWA type services (FTP downloads, video streaming, etc.). The migration to LTE is allowing operators to approach true fixed mobile convergence service for the emerging laptop
consumer as well as the usual handset customer.
ICS telecom can assist an established operator in building out or optimizing their existing network. In particular, ICS telecom aids
an RF network design engineer in dealing with technology convergence issues as they relate to interference mitigation such as adjacent
channel interference, cosite and out of band interference issues and spectral optimization – all analytical requirements not met by the
vast majority of today’s commercial RF network planning tools.
In this document we will review how ICS telecom can already handle the main
features of the LTE technology for providing complete computer based network design including initial site placement dimensioning, parameters optimization and validation.
