Modelling RF Propagation for Maritime Communications with ATDI
Part I: MF Groundwave Propagation
Abstract:
For the past seventeen years ATDI has been integrating and developing software for modelling anomalous radio wave propagation for the purposes of RF network design.
This includes propagation phenomenon such as ducting, troposcatter and their applications over terrain and water.
The following paper is the first in a three-part series highlighting how ATDI’s flagship RF network design tools model Maritime Communications.
This first document will focus on modelling MF Groundwave propagation from ship to shore along coastlines.
This paper focuses on developments in the areas of cartographic map data preparation, integration of propagation standards and calibration information and custom reporting options available to users of HTZ warfare or ICS telecom for the purposes of modelling Maritime Networks.

February 2008 - DOI-USDA Joint Radio Workshop
ATDI presented two technical tracks at the DOI/USDA Radio Workshop at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas the 5th-6th of February, 2008.
The technical tracks focused on modeling Land Mobile Radio systems and the Advanced Wireless Spectrum Relocation effort with ATDI's flagship modeling platform, HTZ warfare and ICS map server.
Feel free to review the content of the technical tracks in the HTZ warfare Hot Topics pages. You can also download the Powerpoint presentations from here:
